[Music and Lyrics] In love with an apparition

(Taken from upcoming experimental spoken word - performed by Yakks, written by Brendan Eslick.)

She turned

she turned in her seat

and with eyes so glassy

they looked looked prosthetic

she asked the wise boy

whom was stretched out to the body limits

across the green velvet sofa.

Tell me of the differences

between the spiritual and religious

droned from her smoke inhaling hole,

not to unlike that of a dragon who had its blaze extinguished

unexpectedly.

The boy rose from his slumber like position

and turned and twisted which created a paper like ruffle

created by the envious velvet.

Once satisfied with his position once more

he lowered his eyes

and then his head

looking at the ground in a prayer like position yet

somewhat sheepish. He let out the words – which

rumbled a controlled type of chaos into a synchronised

dance of truth and dare

A religious man fears hell

A spiritual man has lived it.’

About The Author: Ezzzy

This kid knows how to draw, paint, print make, cuss, yell, play keyboard, play air guitar and drums among other things. Born half yakk, half man-child he was raised by a herd of wild sheep in the hunter valley of Spew South Whales, Australia (hence his slight case of retardation), he now lives in Melbourne. DO NOT call this kid Ezzzy Attack… a kick in the loins will promptly follow if this happens.
