Ever heard of “Seam Carving” or “Content Aware Scaling”? demo video

Anyway the mad scientist behind this work has a new project called infinite images, which as the team explains is “a system for exploring large collections of photos in a virtual 3D space.”

Watch the video, its pretty cool.

  1. -that’s awesome! reminds me of an old ‘93 pc game I can’t remember the name of… i want all my pictures from my lifetime to be put into an infinite image like this! It could be so bloody easy to show ya gran’kids about the good ol’ days without even saying a word.. just let them travel through your life in 10 min! Saves you a lot of time and it’s freakin rad in the same time! RESPECT GRANNY!

    Good one Bjorn!
