Finally! Melbourne’s very own Rachee has announced her long awaited solo exhibition!
Rachel Taplin has been brightening streets, alleyways, drains, warehouses, galleries, bars and clubs with her stencils, aerosols and characters throughout Melbourne and internationally since 2003. Inspired by pop art, street art and all kinds of Japanese kitsch, her work is cute, colourful and just a little provocative.
‘Hairy Tales’ is Rachee’s first solo show, and will bring together a series of very hair-raising ladies across a range of mediums; including oils, acrylics and aerosol, exploring emotions in a very whimsical way.
We Make Stuff Good is very excited for this upcoming exhibition! Rachel has been a part of our crew since conception, and seriously, how wicked is it to be affiliated with such a cool and talented girl! High Five!
WHEN: Opening night Friday, March 6. From 6 to 9pm. (Runs until March 18)
WHERE: Gallery 696, Sydney Rd, Brunswick
