The annual youth arts and cultural smARTart Festival is back on in Sydney! Kicking off on April 4 with exhibitions and artwork by Australia’s leading young creatives, smARTart is going be one of the coolest displays of fresh talent this year. All artists exhibiting are between 15 and 26 years old which means that promising new talent is definitely are going to be x-rayed and discovered.
The Festival also includes a free workshop that will teach you new fine art and street art skills using a huge wall being constructed the event. If you’re not a big sketch fan then grab the mic and get involved in the open mic MC battle! Sounds sick eh! But if that’s not enough for your creative mind, well maybe you should learn to print t-shirts at the stencil art workshop. Of course, if you aren’t able to use the creative side of your brain this week you can always just take a look at all the live art demonstrations, installations & performances from the likes of Poodle Doodle Circus, Junk Funk and The Colour Parade.
There’s somethin’ somethin’ for everybody which means that you won’t be bored. You can do it, get your ass into it and drop by during the week! To find out more about the full program of events visit the smARTarts website.
