696 loves ladies, we know that. But we also know that the cool chicks at 696 love artistic ladies. Here is an exhibition that proves their love. Today’s female artists are putting cities and countries on the big map! The world would simply not be the same without them. In Australia there is good support for up-and-comers, with many exhibitions devoted to exposing them into the art scene.
‘Curvy’ is one such crew helping out. In Sydney last weekend I had the opportunity to check out their huge show at Darling Harbour ‘Curvy Exhibition 2009′. Female artists from around the globe – mainly Aussies – were represented including our own friend and guest writer Nicole Tattersal.
Curvy’s got them all. But now 696 is taking part by putting up an all female artist exhibition called ‘We Love Ladies Too‘ where heaps of the amazing girl artists from the Curvy Exhibition are represented. Old ones and new, fresh ‘09 ones.” Drop by for a beer, sweet tunes, giveaways and of course the great art on the walls of 696. It’s all girls, but bring your best b-boy, handy-man or manly mate and show them that girls rock more than ever.
