[Melbourne] Music From Art opening this Friday

This Friday sees the opening of a group exhibition of works based on The Dirt Crew’s 02 Collections album. Mike Buhl from Dirt Crew will be playing on the night in a great little gallery in one of Melbourne’s graffitied lane ways.
‘The night focuses on 2 central themes - ‘Responding and Reinterpreting. 5 of Melbourne’s leading contemporary artists were provided with the latest Dirt Crew mix, ‘02 Collections’. Given a specific time frame, these artists, using a variety of media - photography, etchings, oils - were to create a response to Dirt Crew’s music, or reinterpret a message they found whilst reflecting on the 02 Collections mix.’ – from the Facebook event page, 2009
