Artist Jans Vorman’s recent work in the small picturesque village of Bocchignano, Italy has inspired gallery Jarmuschek + Partners to round up a group of Berliners and along with Vorman, plug those pesky WWII era bullet holes around old Berlin town.

Using lego and it’s many variations and knock-offs, Vorman moulded the building blocks into shapes that fit into existing holes and crevices. ‘The colorful and shiny polished plastic, worked into this dust-covered grey patina of diverse construction material, adds the modern touch of colorful design while distracting from and intriguing the serious life securing function of these walls: durability.’
Yatzer, 2009

Have a look at the gallery of work made by Vorman and the people of Berlin. It adds a nice colour to the city me thinks.
