Feeling a little chilly? Here’s a story to make you all warm in your fuzzies…
Over the past 23 years the Afternoon Knitting Club in the UK has been busy clicky-clacking to recreate their village in wool. Every little detail has been thought of and knitted in – the replica has shop signs, cars, gardens, people admiring their gardens and even a cricket match. Pictures and cardboard templates of the properties and objects were used by the club to help them immortalise their village in wool.
Afternoon Club member, 80-year-old Margaret Goldup said the village had given so much pleasure to the people who had made it. The knitted village is to be sold off, with all proceeds going towards the local town hall.
