At Large Gallery is a new street art gallery located in Northcote. This Saturday, in true street art style, it’ll be opening its doors as a part of Northern Exposure 2009. For those of who have been to Sketch City at Dazzleland Studios it’s less than a 5 minute walk from there. I’m yet to see the space but I’ve been told that it’s painted black on the inside; so I’m excited to check it out for myself this Saturday.

The grand opening will include a group exhibition featuring over 20 Melbourne artists whose works come in all forms of street art. There’s also live painting by Day Dream Designs, Yowser, Drew Funk and others yet to be named. Visual projections will be provided by Conscious Flux and the Dj’s are none other than Pauly Fatlace and Ghost Soul. Exhibiting artists are: One, Damage, Club Muchacho, Paul Pirie, Piker, Custards, Yowser, Rachel Jessie-Rae, Leon Williams, Gabrielle Murphy, Bengamin, Sevenmilligram, Philipa Crisp, Soft Science, Sink, Daymon Greulich, Nicole Tattersall, Roman, Nathaniel Meow Diamond and Sparcs Amy Eating Apples. The artists featuring works in the group exhibition are: Scale, Simz, Rachee Renee, Mishap, Ko, Milk, Cax

The two works that I’ll be exhibiting in At Large Gallery’s first exhibition are both stencil works on canvas, ‘Face & Fringe Azure’ and ‘Pink Ducks in a Cup’.
