The boys of Court Jester are usually devoted to making majestic food and coffee for their fellow folk whom have light spirits and light pockets. These guys also know how to have a good time and the opening party for their café has been dubbed THE king of all parties. The gypsies danced until after dawn and debauchery was embraced by all. The WMSG crew helped throw it all together and later, rip the dance floor apart! As we are a collective I felt the best way to report the night to you guys was to do it all together. Although maybe I shouldn’t have asked the people who drank the Hennessey and Vodka in the morning? This is a mash-up of how the crew’s night went. I hope it brings happy, shiny flashbacks to you all. Xoxo Verona
‘The music was so good that even the dirt on the floor was dancin’! The chick from PBS, Gabriele (Trans Europa Express), was ah-mazing on the decks, we definitely need her to play later next time. Gypsy dancin’ all the waaaay. Dit diddly dit dit dee…Rainbow Neck Face Distortion had everyone nodding along, taking them on a journey through time and space… intensely enjoyable set guys. El Moth and the Turbo Rads gave us 5 hours of sunshine beats, playing their way into our hearts forever. It was also lovely too meet all you shiny happy Brunswickians out there - you’re all beautiful. See you again sometime soon we hope!’ Xox - Tahnee
‘I liked the part where this insane european chick, with a fucking wrestler mask on, jumped in front of all the cars passing by trying to scare the shit out of them… That was fun… She might be dead now…? Hmm.’ - Cammy
“By far the best part of the night for myself was Kodiak Kid’s rocking dubstep set. From 4am until 7pm Kodiak tore it apart, with gnarly bass loops and rocking party vibes he packed the dance floor. The Korn song to finish too was a hit with the crowd jumping through the roof. Shout outs for Styli too, who set the stage for the onslaught. Great night all round the bands all rocked it - everyone I talked to was rocking. Thanks to the boys down at the Court Jester, make sure you get down Weds to Sun for some dope Polish and Russian food.” - Jeremy
“What an amazing performance by El Moth and the Turbo Rads, defiantly the highlight of the night. The energy was pumping and you couldn’t help but jive to the fresh beats. The trumpet and saxophonists kept you on your feet with their up close performance. Oh, and not to mention the crazy wrestling-masked girl that made here entrance at the end of the night with her ’sick cunt’ moves. Just want to make an honorable mention to Al’s friend who made an awesome effort of de-frothing the beer by pouring it by hand and holding back the froth. A messy job, but a saviour to our beer keg woes!” - Ania
“Jester Party = Rad-cakes Favorite part of the night was the conversation to be had out the front of the party, eg: an in-depth discussion with Chau on the benefits of Bendigo. Bendigo is according to Chau, liveable, progressive and charming. The town has character and history… Clearly this man was on another planet balls, nobody would describe that cesspool of bogan sin as liveable, but kudos to Chau for attempting to reverse a 23yr bad impression of a dead shit town.
Other favorite part of the night was discussing waiting desperately for the toilet only to have to squeeze past the horrorfied expression of the previous occupant. Their terror kept me strong during the dark time it took to piss\shit. Overall the party should be given an 8.5 out of 10… 10 being a wild party at Warhol’s Factory”. -

“Everyone I speak to has the same thing to say about the Court Jester Opening party, except for those of us who can’t remember what we did! If only we could go back and re-live the night on slow-mo! The music, the people and the vibes were amazing!
Running around making sure frothy beers were on the go and hooking up mic. leads, waiting for their turn in the dunny with dignity, high-fives were flying all round, amongst truly rad people.
It was a networking of creatively minded musos, local booty-shakers and friends. Out in the circus-lit courtyard was Monkey (king of the monkeys!) leading a whole pack of happy hippity-hoppers bouncing to his groovy tunes and swinging from the turntables.
Austin Busch and the good reasons were amazing, and picked the crowd up by the shoulders and gave them a good shaking!
Twelve Tones blew horns and minds! (P.s. If anyone finds mine, I’m still looking for it!) Girls and boys grinding wide eyed and trying to kiss all the while to crazy live jazz that got down and dirty. And then…El Moth and that Turbo Radness!!! What can we say boys??… You are amazing!! These guys know how to boogie down and jam the night away!! Some stayed on the dance floor for the entire 5 hour set! El Moth’s energy was pumping and you couldn’t help but jive to the fresh beats.
The trumpet and saxophonists kept you on your feet with their up close performance. When the mic started getting passed around through the audience it was like a couple of angels had landed in our lounge room! Turbo = good times! The bands even kept the Danish Viking Mexican wrestling champion in action by jamming out a theme tune for a bit of contemporary wrestle dance action with her ’sick cunt’ moves! Until she decided to jump in front of all the cars passing by trying to scare the shit out of them… That was fun… She might be dead now…?
We walked away from the night with a wheelbarrow full of new friends admiration for those that came together to play the tunes that allowed us to keep jamming til the sunshine shone through the corrugated warehouse roof! Few can remember heading home, many waking up in their clothes on the couch outside or in some strange bed…. Viva Brunswick, Viva Court Jester!!!! - Dils
Some came strolling casually into Court Jester around 5am absolutely smashed off their tits, which was an excellent idea. The party had reached that beautiful stage with only the serious partiers left going with the whole scene at its most debauched. This being a decent Brunswick party this meant there was still a good couple hundred people milling, dancing and basically losing their shit to super sweet flowing jam stylings. Punters were leering, dancing, stumbling and grinning from ear to ear. Maxcats paintings along the wall added an appropriately twisted vibe to the proceedings and the upstairs room at that stage provided a necessary solace from the carnage downstairs. - Ed
When we were chilling at the warehouse Jeremy was asleep and he rolled over and said Phibs and grunted. Awesome. - Poppy
