After wanting to go to several of the Creative Women’s Circle meetings I finally managed to get along to the last one at MARS Gallery in South Melbourne, where Shannon Lamden of Aunty Cookie spoke about her work and how she has grown her textile design label over the last few years. Even though I myself don’t do much textile design I was inspired and gained some useful knowledge about running a small business.

All these reasons and more are why I recommend that you make your way down to Guildford Lane Gallery in Melbourne’s CBD this Saturday to listen Dearne Herrenberg speak about her work in both interior and jewellery design, her inspiration behind her works, the creation and success of Mainichi and how she juggles her creative life and personal life.

Creative Women’s Circle happens roughly once every two months in various gallery spaces around Melbourne and is only open to women to attend. Please RSVP as this helps them in planning out how many chairs are required.

When: Saturday 11 July, 10am - 12 midday
