Drypnz and Foothead are two psychedelic New Zealanders fresh off the streets of Wellington. Drypnz has taken his unique style of street art and translated it to canvas, the end result being a collection of work that will make you stop and think. While Footheads fascination with altered states makes for an eclectic mix of dreamy hallucinations and bright colours that will surely blow your mind.
Foothead says to ‘expect some crazy murals, an installation of sorts, some tasty tasty beer and of course a whole ensemble of artworks to feast your eyes upon.’ So come to down Per Square Meter tonight to check it all out.
So why is it that we don’t often have great New Zealand art exhibited in Australia? This is proof that there’s some good stuff out there, so keep it coming. I’m happy these two guys are coming down to show us what they do and why we should be interesting in a little NZ flavour. I can’t wait, New Zealand show us what you got.
What: Our Neck of the Woods exhibition
When: Opening night Tonight!
Where: Per Square Metre, 191-193 Johnston Street, Collingwood
