What would music lovers do without Mistletone? A few times a year they put on exceptional mini-festivals that show the ‘laneway festival’ kids how its done, by bringing the best of Australia and beyond to us music lovers. Now, in the middle of a bitter winter, they’re gracing us lucky Melbournians with a once-off show at the Arts Centre to celebrate the launch of Kes Band II. In addition to the fucked-folk sounds of Kes Band, we’re also going to be graced with the new music sounds of Anthony Pateras & Robbie Avenaim along with the analogue bliss of Free Choice Duo. All of this in a venue that’s made for music, not drinking. Take a Saturday off from getting plastered and experience Melbourne’s REAL arts scene.
