CHECKPOINT DREAMYOURTOPIA - 7TH AND 8TH OF NOVEMBER IN BERLIN

Checkpoint Dreamyourtopia - a Border control checkpoint to enter your own Dreams, is operated by the Department of Dreamland Security. They are here to protect and serve your Dreams, make sure you’ll have a smooth and safe passage into your own Dreamworld, at the same time preventing the wrong people from entering your Dreams and Dreamterrorism.

People wishing to obtain a Dreampassport stamped with the right visa necessary to Dream, should download immigration form WXRZYQ SFG 23587-492 C ( which can be download from the Dreamyourtopia website at: http://www.dadara.nl/checkpoint/immigration-forms.htm ) and bring a passport photo and 4 dollar administration to the officer on duty operating the Checkpoint. Then they have to go through immigration procedures and interrogation to be able to cross the border between Dreams and Reality.

People could experience the installation previously at the Burning Man festival in Nevada, in Dallas, Texas and at the Lowlands festival in the Netherlands.

This will be Checkpoint Dreamyourtopia’s final performance! This time it won’t be built in the desert but inside an old swimming pool. The Department of Dreamland Security will again perform immigration procedures until slowly the evil Dream regime will start to crumble. At midnight on the 7th of November artists will start covering it totally with graffiti, which will continue into the next day. This will eventually lead to the Walls between Dreams and Reality being smashed to pieces with sledgehammers and the total collapse of the Checkpoint, thus making Dreams free again! This performance will happen at midnight on the 8th, 20 years after the Berlin Wall came down.

The Checkpoint will be open during extended dream business hours ( from 12 midday till 2 at night ) at the Stattbad Wedding, Gerichtstrasse 65 in Berlin on the 7th and 8th of November.

  1. WMSG Berlin crew helped the artist move all the instalation material from one room down to the massive pool where his is exhibiting. It was so heavy that non of us can’t wait to smash it all up in small, small pieces and BURN it on sunday when we’re having the closing night party. Come join :)
