Do bikes, bands and BBQs sound appealing to you? Join us for a fun-filled day at J-Studios, a local artist community in North Fitzroy this Sunday 6 December  as they play host to their fundraising festival extravaganza!

The afternoon is a  celebration of good music, good food, market stalls, bike polo demonstrations and two separate bike competitions for all to partake in.

Bike competitions will kick off  after midday with 1 comp for children at 1pm and 1 for adults at 2pm. Come show your support for sustainable transport and show off your bike– whether old school, classic, chopper, low rider, BMX or second hand demon– and dress it up (or yourself on it) to win prizes from Crumpler and The Classic Bicycle Shop.

This event will be a fundraising event for J-Studios Artist Community Inc. and an opportunity for the broader community of North Fitzroy and surrounds to come into J-Studios and experience this vibrant artistic community. Money earned from the event will go towards new computers for their office, a new telecommunications system for the community, curtains for the drama theater and resources for community art classes in their new art space.m

There will be a BBQ  as well as food by Lentil as Anything. Coffee and cakes by Liminal as well as market stalls set up by local artists within the J-Studios community. Performances by local bands kick off at 2pm and include an all mighty and groovy line-up including  African sounds by Ousmane, Abu, Hugo & Shana Band, The Ocean Party, The Fuelers, Skippy’s Brain, Mikelangelo and the Tin Stars and Brothers Grim and the Blue Murders.
