Lamp shades have always been tacky, especially those mouldy smelling 70’s shades you find at ol’ Nanna’s house. Staring at them can make time stand still, for ever and ever. We are all about the future now, fuck the 70’s and fuck olive green. It’s 2010 and we need lamp shades that are modern and not only designed to make our homes look retro.

Find that perfect lamp shade at Per Square Metre’s Shady Pasts exhibition which is a showing off customised shades by up-and-coming Melbourne artists. The exhibition runs from January 6th to the 24th 2010.
