blek the rat book
One of the world’s pioneers of stencil art, Blek Le Rat swung by Melbourne last December. Mmm why are we telling you this now you say. Well, firstly if you missed his talk at the Metro Gallery here ’tis and also some footage of him painting with Melbourne’s Blender Crew. But best of all we happen to have a copy of his book to GIVE AWAY!

This dude started stenciling pictures while we were still watching Agro’s Cartoon Connection folks [Australian Kids Show]. He has, and continues to inspire people that we look upto. While we were entering colouring-in comps, Bleck Le Rat was hanging out with the likes of Keith Haring and Basquait, listening to new stuff from the Stones and Dylan. The book allows us an insight to the world of street art at its very beginning, before our time. If you can’t manage to get your itching hands on le book, check out his interview with  Fecal Face, which will probably make you want to buy it anyway.
To WIN a copy of Blek Le Rat’s book Walking through Walls tell us who is the featured artist on the new Metro Gallery blog. To enter leave a comment under this article with the answer along with a contact email address. First in is da book worm mo fo’s.
