Budding artists of any form can find it incredibly hard to carve out a career path and get in with those who can help to launch them into the limelight.  If your head is moving with a knowing agreement to the  previous statement then the Bayside Artists-in-Residence Program may be the opportunity you are looking for…

If you are interested in working at a unique heritage precinct and being involved with the Bayside artistic community, there are three day studios on the grounds of historic Billilla Mansion in Brighton available between July 2010 & June 2011.

You will be required to plan and deliver community activities including artist’s talks, community workshops, master classes for local artists and participate in Bayside festivals such as the Bayside Literary Festival and the Bayside Film Festival over the next 12-months. Artists will also have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a Bayside Council art event. See the website for application details or contact Deanna Herbison on 0417 327 899.

Who: Bayside Artist-in-Residence Program
What: A fantastic opportunity to be supported and do what you love
When: Applications close Friday 30 April 2010
Where: Billilla Mansion, Brighton
Damage: Free
