This Sunday 25th April, be sure to come down to ‘Where the wild things Are‘ in North Fitzroy for a fundraising festival extravaganza.
Where the Wild Things Are is a fundraising event that aims to raise money for three different old growth forest areas. In Tasmania they support Still Wild Still Threatened and the Huon Valley Environment Council, in Victoria they support GECO as well as supporting a collection of villages in the Phillipines.
After their first successful fundraising festival last year in May, they have decided to do it all again with more amazing acts and sideshows than you can poke a stick at.
The super sweet line up for the day includes: The Barons of Tang, Combat Wombat, DJ bass Bin Laden, Rapskallion, Matt Kelly, Hugo and Treats, Oblique Industries, El Moth and the Turbo Rads, 8 Bit Love, Bewilderbeast, Zucchini Children’s band, also starring… The Nargile lounge (Turkish pipes), Punch and Judy Puppet Show, Rap News, Pepper’s Puzzle Game Show, Fire Art Productions Fire Show, Circus performances, roaming theatrics, and beautiful dancers.
To get you even more excited, there will be… a shiatsu massage lounge, Plan B Hairdressing, Styx Pixi Blue Quasar’s tattoo parlour, Medium life drawing collective doing portraits, Two girls and a goat face and body painting, Save the Forest second hand clothing stall, Dreaming Awake totem exhibition, Wild Things Kissing Booth, Phillip Werner Photos booth, Slave/Singles Auction, Raining Gems Fortune Telling, GECO’s Vegetarian Kitchen, Beer and Cider by Good Brew, The Tribal Bar, and even a children’s program.
Make sure you don’t miss out on this fantastic day of festivities and be part of this great way of showing your support for these worthy causes. See you down there!
