[Melbourne] Get on ya Bike

If you haven’t yet embraced the joyous experience of cruising about town on ya bicycle, it’s a damn shame! For those that have I’m sure you’ve experienced strange rattles and squeaks emerging from inexplicable locations; brakes screeching or just not working, gears slipping or the fun of a tyre puncture. Rather then simply dealing with it or getting fed up and throwing your bike aside and resorting to Melbourne’s painful Public Transport system or the ol’ automobile, head down to CERES Bike Shed.
Here you can enjoy a morning coffee and gain some bicycle know how thanks to the Bike Shed. The Shed has many mechanical savvy volunteers happy to show you the methods for fixing all those strange rattles and squeaks. Then once you hone those new skills you can even build a whole new one from scratch with an array of super-cheap parts and frames available.
Who: The Bike Shed at CERES community park
What: Volunteers that help you fix or build your bike
When: Fridays 11am-5pm, Saturdays 11am-5pm, Sundays 12pm-4pm
Where: CERES Community Environment Park
Cnr Roberts and Stewart Streets, Brunswick East, Victoria
Damage: $10 per year, $5 for students /concession [Bicycle Frames range between $30-$70 bux. Bargain]
