The Mourning Sons tore it up on the ‘Burn Motherfucker Burn’ launch tour from Adelaide to Hobart and now they’re ready to officially launch it in their home town, and its about time! They have put heaps of effort in their EP that was mixed by the late bassist from the Magic Dirt, Dean Turner.
The night will be a rockin’ with DJs spinning the finest rock’n'roll and ‘Matt Sonic & The High Times’ supporting.
“The Mourning Sons take a minute and twenty seconds to introduce themselves and it’s a raw, visceral onslaught. This is bleach era punk rock - screaming rage you can relate to. Singer Dave Fazza leads the way with a fiery conviction. Good stuff.” - MOTHERFUCKER BURN - Beat Magazine single of the week “Burn Montherfucker Burn” April 28th
“I’m talking about a “game changing moment” in music that you’ll witness first before the rest of the world catches on…Because I swear duuude, I said it waaay back then and I’ll say it again tonight: this band is gonna be huuuge! Like we’re talking Godzilla swatting fighter jets, crushing skyscrapers and playing ping-pong with the moon kind of retardingly huge, or at least they damn well should!” — spoz, spoz’s rant ‘ - Crown & Anchor Adelaide, April 16th (The Mourning Son s live)
“…from listening to their new single, I can predict what would be requested on the Backstage Rider by reputation-building rock & roar four-piece the mourning sons…. This is undiluted, guts and all rock & roll, for which the mourning sons deserve all of the above, plus our admiration.” - Simon Topper - Rave Magazine (Brisbane) ”Burn Montherfucker Burn” review May 4th
