Are you like the rest of us at We Make Stuff Good and have a bunch of random tid-bits, a pile of odd earrings, and an accumulation of treasures that you can’t bare to throw out because ONE DAY you will get around to fixing them up and making something amazing out of them?
Well people, that ONE DAY is upon us and it’s time to get ourselves down to a monthly workshop held by the Treasury where you can fix and create new masterpieces from old treasures. The Treasury is about guiding people from the ‘throw away culture’ and leading them back towards the way our nannas used to live – where if something broke, you fixed it, and if you got bored of it, you made it into something new. This is sustainable fashion.
The treasury is about re-connecting with the idea of community–exchanging thoughts, skills and materials. Sit around a table with plates of food and tattered jewellery piled high (CWA meets Peaches), and leave at the end of the night with a heap of ‘new’ jewellery and a bunch of new friends. It’s enough to make you warm and fuzzy all over!
Join Emma Grace at The Treasury Workshop, where you can re-vamp all those little bits ‘n pieces you’ve been hanging on to for an opportunity like this.
