If you’re walking down St Marks somewhere in the east village of New York, you might stumble past a little store where the seats are for ‘fat girls only ‘ blacks or jews. James Dela Vega has become famous in a post 9/11 New York where he started spreading positive mesaages on walls around the city like ‘become your dream’ – a motto that inspired me at the start of my Americas adventure last year, so much so that I had it tattooed in Spanish whilst in Mexico City at the end of my journey. James, with his Spanish Harlem flair and his own style of graffiti murals, has joined other great street artists like Basquat. James Dela Vega is more than just a man he is an artist, photographer and philosopher.

Thankyou. Actually my tattoo is not quite finished.. It was a sper-of-the-moment thing. I had a few hours left in Mexico City and i was thinking about everything that had happened..so i ran down to a tattooist with a Mexican student i met at the Hostel and got Viva Tus Seuenos written on my arm.
