Fitzroy and Collingwood local cats (you don’t have to share the postcode to feel at home here) should be familiar with the gifts left by the Everfresh artists:
Rone , Phibs , Sync, Reka, Wonderlust, Meggs, Prizm, Makatron and The Tooth.
Now you can get your hands on the most informative and enticing book on the studio ever made. Inside you’ll find photographs from their private collections and stories to boot. The crew have been working on this book for over a year, with a wall in the office completely taken over by photographs as they attempted to group the works, events and stories. It is well worth the wait:
“Illustrated with striking, candid photography, ‘Everfresh: Blackbook’ provides a rare and exclusive insight into the life of the studio, the artists behind the work and the culture of the elusive underground art world - a world usually cloaked in anonymity.” - Everfresh
For the uninitiated, if you want a dose of Everfresh talent, check out the mural on the Night Cat wall….then wander the backstreets of Fitzroy (choose anyone that runs off Brunswick St and go from there) and pick out which artworks you can recognise as being distinctly Everfreshed. Or head to the derelict Yorkshire Brewery in Collingwood - now a daytime carpark moonlighting as an urban oasis of graffiti. You’ll see the infamous ‘Everfresh 04’ stamped triumphantly across the top of the silos, with works by Phibs and Reka at the base.
If you haven’t yet signed up for a limited edition via the Everfresh website, make sure you get to the launch party on Friday 3 September and secure this hot piece of cultural history. Limited editions come signed by the artists, feature a limited edition screen print and include a photographic print by Everfresh studio resident Josh Robenstone. 1000 £ Bend will also keep you grinning with DJs and installation work by the Everfresh artists. If you can’t make the Melbourne event, there’s always Sydney or Tokyo if you’re feeling adventurous… See below for launch party details.
Hope to see you there!
