[Berlin] SUPERFREAKS meets We Make Stuff Good

tifani_rubi1

On Friday the 7th of May We Make Stuff Good are once again taking the show on the road. This time to the infamous Glashaus at Arena Club. Superfreaks is the name of the party and the organisers kindly invited us to decorate the room. Therefore we needed an aritst that really played with the club’s atmosphere. Tifani Rubi was selected for her use of vibrant colours and energetic patterns. This girls’ ARTY makes me want to PARTY.

[Berlin] A touch of EVIL // LaptopsRus

finassage1

This Saturday night at Stattbad come along to the WMSG Gallery to celebrate the closing party for A touch of Evil. But of course we couldn’t end it on such a simple note. So for the perfect “finassage” recipe add one empty swimming pool, a bunch of vj artists, 4 live music acts and a dash of water. Actually take out the water…. and put in a stage.

[Art Stuff] Neckface ‘Back to the Womb’ exhibition in Copenhagen

img_12861

Neckface’s amazing but kinda disturbing looking little character is one of the street-art world’s most famous. V1 Gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark, hosted Neckface’s solo show Back to the Womb, which was an exhibition dedicated to his evil looking characters from childhood. I doubt that his art class teacher gave him any A’s or ever imagined he would be a future, legendary street artist, but he made it to the top with nothing but his personal style. Back to the Womb was one of his best exhibitions. It was honest, pure and colourful. As a kid Neckface would have been awesome to know – guaranteed to have been the funniest kid in school!

Check out the pics from the exhibition.

V1 Gallery is located in “Kødbyen” (translated: “Meat Town”) in Copenhagen. It’s one of the best galleries in Denmark and absolutely worth a visit.

[Art Stuff] Coolest porcelain evaaaaar

img_1310-21

I just went back to my freezing Denmark and visited some of the good ol’ galleries around Copenhagen. This is one of my favorite exhibitions I came across and I sure must say that I have never, ever, EVER seen cooler porcelain than this. It’s by Danish artist Maria Rubinke. Check her mad skills out! Crazy porcelain lady, you got it going on.

Also, if you ever visit Copenhagen, be sure to visit Hans Alf Gallery located in Copenhagen’s “Kødbyen” (translates to Meat Town). I’ve thrown in their website but it’s in Danish… But you’ll be alright, Danish is easy!

[Art Stuff] Exit Through The Gift Shop

As part of the Berlin Film Festival Berlinale, a private showing of Exit Through The Gift Shop was screened last night at Potsdamer Platz. As you may have heard, the film is presented by the infamous and un-recognisable Banksy. I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Berlin premiere and besides falling over on the red carpet, I had an otherwise safe experience.
