You may have seen Mishap hanging around at Sketch City doing her stuff. Mishap has a creative style that is not like many other character artists. You will find her characters very expressive on canvas.
Using old materials for art works not a new idea but a good step in the direction of personalising the finished product. In Mishap’s next show you will find pieces done on found and salvaged objects. Mishap uses a variety of materials from scrap metal, wood, perspex through to rejected household furniture and industrial parts.

Imagine living in a world where you weren’t allowed to marry the one you love. That’s the reality for many same-sex couples in Australia and around the world. Equal Love is a nationwide campaign for same-sex marriage in Australia that aims to change public attitudes towards lesbian and gay relationships and put pressure on government to legislate for equal marriage rights. El Moth & The Turbo Rads were spawned in early ‘08 after many late night/early morning jams in lounge rooms, sheds, bedrooms, backyards, alleyways, warehouses, rooftops, parks and wherever else they could find a power source and an appreciative audience. Fast forward to ‘09, and not a lot has changed, except perhaps a greater understanding of where the boys are coming from, and a few more angry neighbours.
