Ukranian born Miso has recreated her home town inside the four spacious walls of Gorker Gallery, Fitzroy. Using mixed mediums the installation has transformed the entire gallery into a compact little town, a realistic everyday scene that in it’s recreation becomes something very beautiful.

Tango has been published almost annually by Cardigan Comics since 1997. Since the third issue, each number has had a sub-theme: ‘Love in Melbourne’, ‘Love and Death’, ‘Love and the Senses’, ‘Love and Sex’, ‘Love and Sedition’ and ‘Love and Food’.
Tango is a showcase for a range of Australian comic books. Each issue of Tango presents comic strip stories by experienced and emerging Australian comic book creators. The Tango project aims to promote and develop the world of Australian comic books.

The No Vacancy Artist’s Market is a one off chance to purchase unique creations from talented Melbourne designers and artists. The market aims to make Christmas shopping bearable – there’s only 20 or so quality stalls each offering unique art, clothing and jewellery that wouldn’t be caught dead in a Westfield centre. Sydney’s very own Jason Howe heads south to Melbourne town this week bringing with him a collection of his animated artworks for exhibition at At Large Gallery. Jason Howe is an original member of the Sketch the Rhyme crew, a group of artists who calloborate speed drawing and freestyle rapping to bring their audiences a vibrant, aural and visually interactive performance. One of the best community, not-for-profit and non-governmental projects getting around Melbourne, The Social Studio is a dynamic space where clothing is created from the style and skills of the young refugee community. Recycled and excess manufacturing materials are gathered from local industry and re-configured into original clothing. This Saturday 5 December they will be launching in Fed Square, there will booze, food, music, film and a parade showcasing their designers and their creative work.
