Blame it on the resurgence of the DIY aesthetic, but I have recently become obsessed with zines. In my defense, I’m spending my hard earned scratch on art zines as opposed to single page hand-written editions of gabba gabba hey.

Get out of the closet and into the cinema for your dose of queer culture at this years Melbourne Queer Film Festival. The festival will screen gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transsexual films for 12 days at various locations around Melbourne. MQFF will feature Champion by Shine Louise Houston, an award winning feminist porn director, a film not to miss. The event kicks off on Wednesday the 18th of March with the screening of Were the World Mine and Gala at the Astor Theatre. If you’re at all “curious” be sure to check it out.

Support TMD as they raise money to defend their current world title at “Writers for Gold“(the worlds largest graffiti competition) in Germany later this year. This Friday from 7 Pm at Loaded 57 High St, Auckland, TMD will be launching their new t-shirt line for Team Dynamite and throwing a massive party featuring DJ Penfold and live painting from some of the crew members. So get down and show your support and help these guys defend their title!
