A few weeks ago I picked up a Polaroid camera from a second hand store. To my horror I then discovered that Polaroid stopped production of most of its instant film products and had shut down their factories. Some pricey 600 film was still available but even that was due to expire very shortly.

Throne is the latest addition to OCCUPY: Art in Strange Places, an exhibition currently on at Federation Square. As a part of Art In Strange Places, Melbourne artist Clare McCracken has transformed two toilet cubicles (one male, one female) in The Atrium at Federation Square in the opulent style of pre-revolutionary France.

Julien and Romain are two French film makers who’ve come to Melbourne to write, shoot and edit an independent documentary all about the Melbourne street art scene. Come to a screening of Melbourne INK at Open Channel’s shed at docklands and you’ll also witness some live tunes and painting by Meggs, Rone, Reka, Phibs, Haha, Drew and Vexta.
